Who was Claria?
Claria provided behavioral marketing solutions for online advertising.
Overview
Claria’s core business model involved the distribution of eight free software applications that included additional bundled software from which the company generated its primary revenue. Each software application’s website provided product information and support as well as a secondary installation channel. Claria sought a web producer capable of managing site updates and maintenance as well the rollout of new products.
The Project
Upon hire, I began to manage and standardize the production process. I delegated various responsibilities to designers and developers in the Creative Services team. I also developed detailed project plans to guide project objectives towards success as well as provide learning opportunities for future projects. Part of my success included reaching out across departments to coordinate dependencies as well as shouldering management responsibilities.
What Happened
As a result of these efforts, I seamlessly maintained eight separate properties for two years until the product line was discontinued in the Spring of 2007.
What They Said
"Jonathan is great. He's one of those people who can walk into an ambiguous situation with confidence, and immediately start figuring things out and getting things done. That's what I needed when we hired him and he definitely demonstrated his aptitude for managing web-related projects."
